Located in Wake Forest, NC, this interior design-build project for Corporate Chaplains of America aimed to create a modern and comfortable corporate space. Spanning 8,500 square feet, the project was completed in just 5 months.
Corporate Chaplains needed additional space for their growing operation, desiring a modern yet “homey” atmosphere. The design included on-site training areas, corporate office suites, a fully functional studio for recording webinars and training videos, and a fitness room for employee wellness. The goal was to future-proof the space for the next 15 years, so we installed infrastructure for future power and data needs.
One of the significant challenges was the location on the third floor of an existing, occupied building. Logistics planning was crucial to avoid disrupting other occupants and ensure smooth material delivery. Additionally, material shortages and long lead times posed challenges. During the HVAC system design, we discovered that the specified rooftop unit had an unmanageable lead time, threatening the move-in date before Christmas. By collaborating with our HVAC trade partner, vendors, and engineers, we developed an alternative design that kept the project on schedule.
We’d like to extend our thanks to Design Development Architects for their outstanding work and collaboration on this project.
