Located in Durham, NC, The Glass Jug underwent an interior upfit in 2017 to accommodate their growing business. They seized the opportunity to expand into a vacated space in their existing shopping center, tripling their footprint.
The new 7,000 sq ft space allowed The Glass Jug to transform into a destination spot, featuring a larger bottle shop, a brewery, an event space, a dining area, and a larger bar. Their vision was to brew their own beer, offer beer tastings, host events, and rent out the space for parties and networking.
The pre-construction phase took approximately 6 months, followed by a 6-month build-out. The project was brought to life with the expertise of architect James McGlothin, who designed the expanded space to meet the evolving needs of The Glass Jug.
This expansion project not only enhanced their operational capacity but also solidified their presence as a key destination in Durham.
Thank you to everyone involved for making this project a success.
