To support the needs of a growing team, the Youngsville Fire Department partnered with Focus Design Builders for a renovation and addition to their existing station. Over seven months, we added 1,864 square feet and renovated roughly 4,000 square feet of interior living space all while the department remained operational on site.
The project created new sleeping quarters and meeting space, and upgraded all interior living areas for better function and comfort. A unique challenge was matching the exterior blocks of the addition to the original building. This exterior renovation task was solved by bringing in specialists to custom-stain the new materials. Then, when the fire alarm system unexpectedly needed replacing, we pivoted quickly to stay on schedule and keep the team safe.
